What is a foot health check?
A foot health check is a great place to start if you're not sure what you need, or you'd just like your feet looked after properly. We look at your skin, nails, feeling and circulation, and check for early signs of problems.
It's especially useful for older adults, people with diabetes, and anyone who finds their feet hard to reach.
What happens at your appointment
- 1We check your feet, including your skin, nails, feeling and circulation, and ask about your health and shoes.
- 2We treat what's needed in the same visit, such as nail cutting or hard skin removal.
- 3We give you simple advice and suggest when to come back.
Common questions
Do I need a check if my feet don't hurt?
Regular checks help spot small problems early, before they become painful. Many patients find their feet feel much better afterwards.
How long does it take?
Every appointment is 45 minutes, so there's plenty of time for the check, treatment and any questions.
I have diabetes. Can I still come?
Yes. Please tell us when you book. Keep going to your yearly NHS diabetic foot check too.
Do you do home visits?
Yes, for NG8, NG9 and NG10 postcodes, Monday to Friday. Please call us to arrange one.
